Arrest after motorcyclist dies in A21 crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the A21, Sussex Police said.

Emergency services were called to a crash involving three cars and a motorbike on Vinehall Road near Whatlington, East Sussex, at 07:25 BST on Monday.

The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of a black BMW, a 35-year-old man from Bexley, was arrested and has since been bailed.

Police said the crash involved the black BMW, a white Nissan, a grey Honda Jazz and a gold Triumph motorbike.

The force added that the crash happened near to the junction with Vinehall School.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or who has dashcam footage to come forward.
