Man charged over threatening children with knife

Armed police officers were called to playing fields in a town after multiple reports of a man threatening both adults and children with a knife.
Essex Police descended on Church Langley playing fields in Harlow, Essex, on Saturday at about 19:00 BST.
The force arrested and later charged a man from Harlow with possession of a bladed article in a public place, three counts of assault by beating and threatening a person with an offensive weapon.
He is expected to attend a magistrates' court later.
