Reform UK has selected its candidate for the West Midlands mayoral election in May.
Elaine Williams said she was standing to stop the "net-zero" agenda, stating that "anti-car" measures such as low traffic neighbourhoods and clean air zones were "seriously damaging our businesses."
The West Midlands mayor represents residents of seven council areas, in a role created in 2017 as a condition of the government giving extra powers and funding to local authorities.
Other political parties announced who their candidates are earlier this year.
The mayoral election is set to take place on 2 May, alongside the local elections, and the election of the next West Midlands police and crime commissioner (PCC).
On Monday, the current West Midlands PCC won a High Court challenge against government plans to merge the role with the region's mayor.
