Inquiry to look at death crash lorry firm's practices

An inquiry into the death of a woman on the A82 in the Highlands is to look at the working practices of the firm which owned the lorry involved.
Chloe Morrison, 26, was struck by a steel beam of the vehicle's extended stabiliser leg near Drumnadrochit, south of Inverness, on 25 October 2019.
Driver John O'Donnell, from Inverurie, was sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for 12 months in October 2022.
A fatal accident inquiry was announced in November and a preliminary hearing will take place on 18 April in Inverness.
It will examine working practices at Glenevin Ltd, wider industry practices and the regulation of warning systems on vehicles fitted with such equipment.
