Man admits killing wife whose body was found in attic

A man has admitted killing his 32-year-old wife whose body was found in the converted attic of the couple's home.
Tia Simmonds' body was found covered with clothing at the property in Forest Hill, south-east London, on 3 January.
Shane Simmonds, 39, of Lewisham, pleaded guilty to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility at a hearing at the Old Bailey, but he denied murder.
Prosecutor Deanna Heer KC said the pleas were not accepted. A 10-day trial is due to start on 14 October.
Appearing via video link from Belmarsh prison, the defendant also pleaded guilty to two counts of rape in relation to a separate female.
The trial is due to be held at the Old Bailey.
