University plans name change

A proposal to change the name of a Lincolnshire university will be put to education regulators next month, officials have said.
Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) will be called Lincoln Bishop University if the idea is approved by the Office for Students.
The institution, which was granted university status in 2012, said the move would "better represent its location".
Staff, students, alumni and representatives from local schools and colleges were consulted over the change as part of the process.
'Evolution'
BGU was first established in 1862 as an Anglican teacher training college for women.
It changed its name in 1962 to honour Robert Grosseteste, the 13th Century scientist, philosopher, educator, and Bishop of Lincoln.
Interim vice-chancellor Professor Karen Stanton said the university had a "rich history of evolution and adaptation" and had undergone "multiple name changes" in the past.
"The proposed transformation to Lincoln Bishop University marks yet another significant chapter in our journey of growth and development," she added.
