Man jailed for knife-threat street robbery

A man who threatened two students in an "extremely frightening" robbery in Nottingham has been jailed.
Mathew Lunt made the two men believe he had a knife and forced them to withdraw money from a cash machine, police said.
The 37-year-old, who was homeless at the time, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery.
At Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday, he was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison.
Det Cons Hannah Wilson said: 鈥淭his was an extremely frightening experience for the two victims, who firmly believed that Lunt had a knife in his possession and that he would turn against them if they didn鈥檛 do what he said.
鈥淯ltimately, the amount of money involved in this case is small, but the impact Lunt鈥檚 actions had on these young men was anything but.
鈥淲hat made this case even worse was that Lunt had previously committed an almost identical crime."
