Thunderstorm warning for Devon and Cornwall
- Published
A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been put in place across parts of Devon and Cornwall.
The Met Office has warned of possible disruption between 13:00 BST and 21:00.
It said thunderstorms would be "slow moving" alongside torrential downpours, which may lead to some impacts on travel and infrastructure.
Hail and lightning may be additional hazards, the forecaster said.
Some torrential downpours could bring about 15-30 mm of rain in an hour, while as much as 40-60 mm could fall in several hours for a few areas in the warning area.
Flooding, travel disruption and power cuts are possible, the Met Office added.
