Cannabis worth 拢450,000 found in disused buildings

Two men have been arrested after cannabis plants worth more than 拢450,000 were found at two town centre properties.
About 580 plants were found at two disused buildings in the centre of Welshpool, Powys, Dyfed Powys Police said.
A 31-year-old man has been charged with cultivating cannabis, and will appear in court on Wednesday, and a 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
Police described them as overseeing 鈥渟ophisticated set-ups鈥 with a large number of knives, electronic devices, plants as well as 鈥渁ssociated growing equipment鈥.

The potential street value of the plants is more than 拢450,000, police said.
A spokesperson for the force described it as 鈥渁 very successful operation鈥 involving work between a number of different police departments.
鈥淲e are committed to making our force area hostile to those who deal illegal drugs,鈥 they said.
