Life-size replicas of vehicles featured in Wallace and Gromit TV shows and films have gone on display at a car museum.

The Atwell Wilson Motor Museum in Calne, Wiltshire, has them until the end of this year after getting a call from The Grand Appeal, the charity for Bristol Children's Hospital.

Brian Utton, from the volunteer-run museum, said the vehicles were in a shop belonging to the charity but needed a temporary home - and the museum is "very lucky" to host them.

He said "it's great timing" with news of a new Wallace and Gromit film being released this year.

The Grand Appeal raises funds for Bristol Children's Hospital services, such as music therapy, to help patients "feel at home and at ease".

Mr Utton told 91热爆 Radio Wiltshire: "It brings in the younger folk, and we're trying to make the museum as family friendly as possible."

While the motorcycle sidecar in Wallace and Gromit can turn into a plane, this one remains firmly on the ground.

Mr Utton said: "The sidecar and motorcycle is of its time. It was a very cheap, cheerful, not particularly comfortable method of travel."

The museum is hoping the vehicles will be popular at its annual show on 14 July.
