Free festival for children returns to Hull

A free festival for children aged 11 to 16 returns to Hull later.

Zebfest, which launched in 2023 under the name Beat the Heat, is taking place from 14:30 to 18:30 BST in Zebedee鈥檚 Yard.

The festival features a host of attractions, including live music, a silent disco, pizza making, archery, axe throwing, a clothes swap and street art.

Councillor Linda Tock, portfolio holder for children, young people, families and learning at Hull City Council, said the event was 鈥渏ust the beginning of a whole summer of entertainment鈥.

Zebfest is part of the Healthy Holidays programme.

Ms Tock added: 鈥淗ealthy Holidays is an established part of school breaks. Over the course of the summer there is the huge range of sessions, activities and entertainment that people have come to expect.

鈥淓verything is free, sessions are available to view and book on the website now.鈥
