Large-scale police response to disorder in Glasgow

A number of people have been reported over disorder offences in Glasgow after a large-scale police response to an incident near the city centre.
Police Scotland said crowds were dispersed in the Gallowgate area, close to Glasgow Green, after reports of a "disturbance".
Dozens of officers were witnessed running along Bell Street at about 20:40.
Footage shared on social media showed about 15 police vehicles arrive in an emergency response with sirens and blue lights flashing.
Police said nobody was injured in the incident.
A force spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended and engaged with those gathered.
"There were no reported injuries and the crowds dispersed from the area.
"A number of people have been reported in connection with disorder offences."
The incident came ahead of Sunday's Old Firm match at Ibrox.
Police Scotland has not confirmed if the disorder was football-related and said inquiries were ongoing.
The force said officers would remain in the area and additional patrols would be carried out.
