Megan Thee Stallion cancels Glasgow show at short notice

Rapper Megan thee Stallion has cancelled her Glasgow gig just over a week before she was due to perform in the city.
The singer was scheduled to play the OVO Hydro on 4 July as part of her Hot Girl Summer tour.
However the 29-year-old has now announced extra shows in the USA, including one in Atlanta the night before she was due in Scotland.
Her other UK dates have been rearranged as a result, but due to a "construction project" at the Hydro the gig has now been completely cancelled.
The OVO Hydro said that the venue was not available for the rescheduled date requested by the rapper and her management.
A number of fans took to social media to express their unhappiness at the news, calling it "ridiculous" to cancel at such short notice.
In an Instagram post, the singer stated: "With the Dallas Mavericks making it to the NBA Finals and the HGS Dallas show moving, we鈥檝e had to shift a few of our tour dates to accommodate the change but I am still soooooo excited to visit and perform for y鈥檃ll.
"To my Glasgow Hotties I promise I鈥檒l be there soon, the venue informed us of a complex construction project that will close the venue forcing us to cancel the show. But we will find a date in the future !!! I love y'all and can鈥檛 wait to see you."
The singer's collaboration with Cardi B, WAP, topped the UK charts in September 2020 and was praised as one of the year's best, and most provocative, songs.
Other shows on the tour - in Birmingham, Manchester and London - will take place from 14 July onwards.
A spokesperson from the Scottish Event Campus, where the Hydro is based, said: 鈥淭his date could indeed have gone ahead however the artist needed to move the original date and the venue was unavailable on the dates requested for reschedule."
They added they hoped she would perform at the venue in the future.
