Two men have been charged in connection with rioting which broke out in Hartlepool on 31 July after handing themselves in.
The men, aged 29 and 38 respectively, were charged with violent disorder, Cleveland Police said.
They separately handed themselves in at Middlesbrough police station on Monday.
Both have been remanded in custody and will appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Officers clashed with a group of more than 100 people in Hartlepool last week, in one of many riots across the county.
