Man arrested after beach stabbing

A man has been arrested after another man was injured in a stabbing on a popular beach.

Officers were called to reports of the attack in Chiswell on Chesil Beach in Portland, Dorset, at 12:51 BST.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing, Dorset Police said.

The force said the arrested man and victim were known to each other.

A police cordon has been put in place at the scene.
