Man charged with murder over Lincoln house death

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 69-year-old man in Lincoln.
John Connolly was found dead inside a house on Portland Street by police officers who were called shortly after 11:30 BST on 18 June.
Owen Blades, 26, of Tennyson Street, Gainsborough, is in custody and is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
He is also charged with shop theft relating to an incident reported by Tesco in Lincoln High Street, and burglary at a separate address in the area.
Lincolnshire Police said it was continuing to investigate Mr Connolly's death and appealed for anyone with information to contact the force.
