A lorry driver has admitted causing the death of a 61-year-old pedestrian who was knocked down on the outskirts of Belfast.
Anne Brown died from the injuries she sustained after being struck by a lorry in Glengormley in February 2022.
Patrick Campbell, from Lurgan Road, Crumlin, was to stand trial at Belfast Crown Court after initially denying a charge of causing Ms Brown's death by driving dangerously.
Before the jury was sworn, Campbell's barrister Charles MacCreanor KC asked that his client be re-arraigned on the single count.
When asked how he pleaded, Campbell replied: "Guilty, Your Honour."
The case was re-listed for mention on 7 October when it is anticipated that a date for the plea will be set.
Campbell was released on continuing bail.
