Recycling centre set to close for five days

A tip in Staffordshire will be closing temporarily for essential work to be carried out.
Leek Recycling Centre will be shut from Monday to Friday next week for upgrades to the electrics and adjoining waste transfer station.
The site will reopen at 09:00 BST on Saturday 27 April, Staffordshire County Council confirmed.
Councillor Simon Tagg, the authority’s cabinet member for environment, said the upgrades were essential and thanked people for their co-operation.
People have been asked to use centres in nearby Cheadle or Biddulph during the closure.
