Five people are seriously ill in hospital after two cars collided near a Lincolnshire village.

Lincolnshire Police said the crash, which involved a silver BMW and a grey Nissan Qashqai, happened near Doddington Hall crossroads shortly after 09:00 GMT on Monday.

Officers said the drivers of both vehicles, along with a passenger who was travelling in the BMW and two others who were in the Nissan, were in a critical condition in hospital.

The force is now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
