A football fan who died on his way home from Liverpool鈥檚 game on Saturday has been described as 鈥渁 ray of sunshine鈥 by his family.
Neil Bradley, 59, was driving from Anfield stadium to his home in Greater Manchester when his car struck a wall and lamp post on Lister Drive in Liverpool at about 22:15 GMT.
He was taken to hospital where he later died.
In a statement, his family said: 鈥淗e was a ray of sunshine and could light up any room with his jokes.鈥
They added that he had an 鈥渋nsatiable thirst for life and often enjoyed running, trainspotting, listening to rock music and supporting his boyhood club Liverpool鈥.
Mr Bradley was originally from Liverpool but moved to Oldham recently.
Police said no other vehicles were involved in the collision and were appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
Det Sgt Andy Roper, from Merseyside Police, said: 鈥淣eil had been to the Liverpool v Aston Villa match at Anfield and we believe he had parked his 2015 red Ford Focus near to Newsham Park and Orphan Drive.
鈥淎ny piece of information, no matter how small or insignificant it may appear, could assist us in providing answers for Neil鈥檚 family.鈥
