Rail services suspended due to signalling fault
- Published
Commuters have faced severe travel delays after Cross City North services were suspended between Birmingham New Street and Lichfield.
A fault with the signalling system between Four Oaks and Lichfield Trent Valley was the cause of the disruption, West Midlands Railway (WMR) said.
Trains running through the area have been delayed in both directions as engineers work to recover the service.
A number of replacement buses have been set up to take passengers from Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield Trent Valley.
The rail operator said disruption was expected to last until 12:00 BST and passengers have been advised to postpone their journeys.
Anyone who is delayed by more than 15 minutes may be entitled to Delay Repay鈥痗ompensation, WMR added.
