Aberdeen FC wants to build homes at Pittodrie stadium
Proposals to demolish Pittodrie stadium and build a residential development are being aired at a public meeting in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen Football Club is seeking planning permission to redevelop the site before putting it up for sale.
The club has already started the planning process for a new stadium beside Loirston Loch on the southern outskirts of the city.
A planning application is expected to be lodged within weeks.
The club is hoping to build a new stadium there, capable of holding about 21,000 people at a cost of up to £40m.
In the meantime it is pressing ahead with plans to redevelop its current home at Pittodrie.
The public is getting its chance to see the initial proposals for a residential development at a consultation meeting being held at the stadium's Millers Suite.
It is being organised by the architects Halliday Fraser Munro.
