Queen Down Warren in North Kent - there are good views over the reserve from the top of the Main Bank.

Kent Wildlife Trust run guided walks at Queendown Warren and Park Gate Down.

Access:Queendown Warren: Public footpaths. Some paths on the banks are steep and uneven in parts. Nature trail leaflet available.


Access to the main reserve is via kissing gates and rambler gates. At present there are just two disabled kissing gates for smaller wheelchairs and pushchairs. None of the paths are surfaced - many are narrow, steep or rutted.

Getting there:

Queendown Warren: Take the A2 and follow the signs to Hartlip along the Lower Hartlip Road. Take a right into Mount Lane and then bear left at the cross-roads into Warren Lane.

Parkgate Down: located south of Canterbury in Kent.

Opening times:

The two Orchid reserves are run by Kent Wildlife Trust. They're free and open all year.
