91热爆 Sport and British swimming partner for the Big Splash
91热爆 Sport today announced it will be joining forces with British Swimming to make the nation healthier, fitter and more active ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The new initiative will be called The Big Splash and will target the nation’s passion for swimming to try and increase participation levels in the build-up to the Olympics and beyond.
The new partnership will work at every level of the sport, from encouraging children to learn to swim, to providing a viable fitness option for former swimmers to finding new fans to support the British athletes as they continue their journey to compete in London.
Mission
- To work in partnership with British Swimming and Sport Relief and create a pan-91热爆 campaign that raises levels of mass-participation
Aims
- Increase the number of people learning to swim
- Increase the number of people in the UK who swim regularly
- Raise money for Sport Relief and make swimming an integral part of the Sport Relief experience
Duration
The campaign will take place between June 2011 and March 2012 culminating with the ‘Big Swim’ on Sport Relief weekend 2012.
The campaign will last for 10 months divided into three distinct yet overlapping phases of activity delivered by British Swimming and promoted by the 91热爆:
Phase 1: June 2011 to August 2011
Focus on Kids, families and non swimmers
Phase 2: August 2011 to December 2011
Focus on lapsed swimmers, retired and sporty professionals
Phase 3: December 2011 to March 2012
Focus on fundraising for Sport Relief and recruitment for ‘The Big Swim’
