There are dozens of collection points across Greater Manchester [see links below for details]  No need to do this Alternatively, if you have a garden waste bin, most councils say you can simply put your tree out with your normal January 2009 kerbside collection to be recycled. In 2008, Manchester residents across the city recycled 4,922 trees which, at an average weight of 20kg, came to just under 100 tonnes.
