Brought up literally nowhere – in the middle of the Midlands - she escaped to the big city as fast as her Young Persons Railcard could carry her and rifled through record shops in search of tunes to compliment her parents' collections of The Carpenters and Demis Roussos (knock these artists in her presence at your peril).

Sam has subsequently bankrupted herself and had far too little sleep over the past 20 odd years, getting out and seeing some amazing bands play live.

She now wants you to come to her, as 91Èȱ¬ Introducing is all about showcasing new bands who have something original to say.

Every week on 91Èȱ¬ Radio Manchester, you'll be hearing a live session from a top Mancunian outfit, as well as new tracks from a variety of other local bands, news about what local talent is up to and what unmissable gigs are coming up in Manchester.
