It could be you!

Become a known pleasure

Two questions: one, do you fancy playing at the Academy 3, Club Academy or at The Quays alongside some of the best new music around? And two, are you a singer or band based in the North West?

If your answer to both those is a resounding yes, then it’s time to get excited as we’re offering you a chance to win a place as a support act for Manchester International Festival’s Unknown Pleasures, a showcase of the hottest new talent around.

You could fill this space

And by hot, we mean scorching. Amongst those already booked to play are Alberta Cross, Bat For Lashes, Findlay Brown, The Gossip, The Horrors, The Noisettes, The Whip and The Wombats!

Enter the Unknown Pleasures supporting acts competition and you could win the chance to play alongside some of the hottest new music talent as part of Unknown Pleasures at Manchester International Festival.

In association with the Festival, we are seeking unsigned bands/artists from the North West to support Unknown Pleasures between the 28 June and 15 July – which it means it includes an opportunity to play at Unknown Pleasures At The Quays, a major free outdoor concert on the final day.

The Unknown Pleasures Supporting Acts Competition will be accepting submissions from 1 May. A shortlist will be put together and the public will be invited to listen to and vote for their favourite band to play at Unknown Pleasures at The Quays on 15 July via this site.

Please make sure you read the full terms and conditions on who can apply for the competition, as anyone who doesn’t fit into the criteria will be disqualified.

If you do think you fit the bill, the application form can be found on the MIF site.
