My very first job was at the Albion sweet factory. I was 15. By the time I was 21 I had had four jobs. The last job was at McIntosh bedding factory, I worked there for eight years until I left to have my first baby.
It was a big factory on Albion Row, about 200 people worked there and it was like a big happy family.
