I was born in Plymouth in 1948 so grew up well aware of "The War" as something that had shaped, or rather destroyed, the city around me. My fathers's stories of the war were a chief influence on my general interest in family history, and I have written a brief history of his experiences in the RAOC - which I will post on this site in sections - as well as the life of his brother who was KIA in 1944 - this is nearly complete on this site now.
