Series 17: 26. The Finals - Fish

It鈥檚 national finals week, where the winners from the regional heats compete to earn a place on the menu of a spectacular banquet celebrating 100 years of brilliant British broadcasting. Each episode will see the eight rivals compete over a different course, from starter through to dessert, where they will be marked out of ten by an expert judging panel, which features a different well-known guest judge each episode.

TV presenter Dame Floella Benjamin joins our judging panel of food critics - Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge, restaurateur Nisha Katona and food podcast host and comedian Ed Gamble - as they choose the banquet鈥檚 fish course. Each chef will produce a dish inspired by a British broadcast from their nation or region, with some spectacular results.

With their first-day nerves behind them, the chefs have settled into the kitchen and are able to produce some truly world-class cooking. The judges are blown away by their talent, and picking a winner is tough, but only one of the chefs will earn the right to cook their fish course at the banquet.
