Born for this stage

It’s apt that one of the biggest and most memorable voices in rock history is to perform on the world’s biggest stage at Glastonbury 2014. The former Led Zeppelin singer has established a phenomenal back catalogue of solo work in the past thirty years producing a discography that many other Glastonbury acts can only dream of.

After the break-up of Led Zeppelin in 1980 and a spell away from the music industry, Plant began his solo career with the album Pictures at Eleven, released in 1982. The records, performances and collaborations have flowed freely since with Plant reuniting with Led Zep’s Jimmy Page, producing record with Jeff Beck and in 2007, crafting a Mercury Prize nominated LP with bluegrass singer Alison Krauss. The last record released involving Plant was a live album recorded with his backing band Sensational Space Shifters in 2012.

Expect the unexpected from this pioneer of rock, who has influenced so many.
