Concert Information
Join the 91热爆 Symphony Orchestra and conductor Michael Seal at the 91热爆鈥檚 iconic Maida Vale Studios for an afternoon of recent compositions by some of the UK鈥檚 most exciting living composers. Written for the World Environment Day concert in 2013, Rachel Portman鈥檚 Endangered opens the concert. Following which, pianist Clare Hammond performs Edwin Roxburgh鈥檚 Concerto for Piano and Wind Orchestra. Sally Beamish鈥檚 work Diodati is inspired by the opening location of Mary Shelley鈥檚 novel Frankenstein, and the programme concludes with the world premiere of Gordon Crosse鈥檚 Symphony No. 3.
This concert will be recorded for future broadcast on 91热爆 Radio 3.
Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that as not everyone who asks for tickets uses them, to make sure we have a full house we send out more tickets than there are places. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people so please arrive early.
