Carl Stone is one of the pioneers of live computer music, and has been hailed by the Village Voice as 鈥渢he king of sampling鈥� and 鈥渙ne of the best composers living in (the USA) today.鈥� His most recent release, Wat Dong Moon Lek, made The Wire鈥檚 Best of 2022 list, where they asked: 鈥淐arl Stone is a half-century into his career 鈥� so how is it that his music still sounds fresh?鈥� For this set, celebrating his 70th birthday, he鈥檒l perform some works for computer-based electronics including the premiere of pieces to be released in July on a new recording from Unseen Worlds.
