About this event
The Inspire Teacher Labs are practical and engaging professional development sessions for secondary school music teachers. This year’s London Lab will be led by composers Fraser Trainer and Stuart MacRae and supported by 91Èȱ¬ Concert Orchestra musicians and a professional singer. The Lab will last just over three hours and will enable teachers to develop their composition skills, explore composition dilemmas and take ideas back to the classroom. After the Lab, teachers will be able to encourage and support their students to enter the 91Èȱ¬ Proms Inspire Young Composers’ Competition, where the winning prize includes a professional performance of their composition, a Radio 3 broadcast of their work and a coveted 91Èȱ¬ Commission.
The Lab will take place at Leyton Sixth Form College, Essex Road, Leyton, E10 6EQ.
How to book It's free to take part but places must be booked in advance. Please complete the online booking form to reserve your place. Places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. A member of the team will be in touch within 10 working days to confirm if your application has been successful.
