Words alone can't begin to describe the magic of Padstow it is a place you have to experience for yourself, and once visited you are drawn like a magnet to return again and again. Padstow is truly a special place.

The Barrett Family from Shrewsbury
We have been coming down here for our summer holidays for years - since Mum was 12. It is the most magical place in the world. Hubby is collecting our caravan from winter storage as i write to ready it for our arrival at Trethias Farm on Sun.14th. We just cannot wait. Everything is there for the best family holiday in the world - sea, sand, cycling, great pasties (from The Chough Bakery!!) and the most stunningly gorgeous coast imaginable. Am stealing office lunch hour to write this, but it's worth it! (God bless the Jubilee Queen and all who sail in her!)

Ian Roberts Cwmbran Gwent
Stood on Pentire Point this summer, catching mackerel for the BBQ with the ocean waves crashing around my feet. I thought things couldn't get better until a seal popped his head above the water just a few yards from where I stood. What more could you ask for?

Fay A Herbert, Beverley, East Yorkshire
It must be about the 40th year my father has holidayed in the most beautiful spot of England (well in my eyes) my parents have taken my sisters and myself to Padstow every year for the family holiday, we have since met good friends (locals and holidayers)and meet up with them every year! We have had some fantastic times and have some great memories, there will never be a time that i don't re visit! Roll on this Friday where there is a big crowd of us going for our summer hols!! Forever Padstow!!

Michelle, Hong Kong
What wonderful pictures, they bring many happy memories of family holidays spent in Port Isaac and Polzeath. After travelling to many different parts of the world I still yearn to live in Cornwall and sat in my office high above Hong Kong harbour….i can almost smell the sea salty air and hear the cry of the gulls… maybe one day soon….

John Penpraze, Perth. Australia
Padstow . What a wonderful place, could have stayed forever ! but i do have a painting by artist Anthony Greville to remind me allways of that quaint old cornish town. I will return.

Laura Hoskin, Truro

As a kid i used to go to Padstow every year. The greatest place in the world. When i move back to England i want to take my kids there and show them the places i used to go to and have such fantastic memories of.

Bruce from London
I am originally from Harlyn and Constantine Bay. These photos are really good - although all seem to depict summer life, which is very different from Winter. I only hope Padstow doesn't become too commercialised like Newquay.

john gaynor hyman manchester
we have being coming to cornwall for the past 10 years and we always come to padstow and we love it

Chris Palmer from in Queensland[formerly Grays Es
Queensland has some great beaches etc, but has nothing like Padstow for charm and history etc,I hope teh council down there keep everything just as it is and don`t allow the developers to ruin such a beautiful place

Mary and Roger from Derbyshire
Well can't believe there are so many other people who just like us SIMPLY ADORE Padstow. On our arrival on the first morning we go straight up to the War Memorial, look up the estuary and say "It's just like coming home can't be a year since we were here last". Roll on June and this year again September when we will return to our beloved Padstow. Please don't change a thing about you - you are the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!

peter & pauline charlton
Padstow is our most favourite place in the world. We holiday there as much as we can every year. Please dont spoil it by commercialising.

Pete Brown, Stourbridge in the Black Country
Can I hear a drum, or the wheeze of an accordian, or maybe just smell the scent of spring flowers, steady now my beauties, Beltane is almost upon us! OSS OSS WEE OSS!

Steve Clark
I visited Padstow in late October 2004, my first visit for many years. I stayed at 'The London Inn', which was an amazing experience! I can't wait for my next visit, this Easter!

Rob, Angy and the children
We had a holiday in Cornwall and visited Padstow several years ago, we moved to New Zealand 2004. We loved Padstow. If anyone has not been there you have to go to Rick Stien's Bistro, restaurant and sea food shop, an absolute must, and the shops and coastline is something not to be missed. It is definately a jewel. We will visit again when we visit the UK again.

Spent some of the happiest days of my life growing up in St. Merryn spent many a happy day in padstow at the harbour eating crab sandwiches and going to the local cinema, or going to Trevone, Harlyn, Constantine and Rock to swim. I want very much to move back...maybe some day...

Julia, Exeter
These photo's remind me of part of my childhood holiday's staying in Polzeath and going over to Padstow on the ferry from Rock. I was born and brought up in Manchester, Now live in Exeter not that far away now so should be able to come back for the odd day trip.

Bob and Dawn Groves, Charlton, London.
There's no place on earth that we would rather be, the cornish , and in particularly the Padstow people should be proud of themselves for there efforts in keeping the area such a beautiful and genuine place.

Laura Hoskin,Truro

I celebrated my 40th birthday whilst on Holiday, in Padstow - the day after we were on St Georges beach and we saw a pod of about 10 - 15 playful Dolphins in the estuary. Fantastic - what a way to start my 41st year :-)

We just had a wonderful month back in Padstow for our wedding. It was the best place to bring our American and Cornish families together. We miss everyone and will see you over the winter holidays!

richard lindsley, London
Such a beautiful town but so spoilt by the red brick monster built in the middle of the harbour front. How do people get away with such things ?

I've never been to Padstow, but have heard from a lot of my family who have been there that it's beautiful. Today, August 7, we have a new member of our family. My niece, Lauren Todd, is marrying Johnny Murt, in Padstow. Happy life and love to you both!

Tim Johnson from Edinburgh
I lived in Padstow until I was 11 years old, lived in Dennis Road. Best part of the UK. Just love all the coastline from Padstow around to Harlyn. Tregudda being my favourite.

Bill Goler
I was one of the hippies who adopted Padstow for the summer of 1967. We occupied the old gun emplacement above St George's well. The locals were surprisingly tolerant at first but I think eventually their patience ran out. Anyway the scrumpy was good, Dylan was on the juke box, Sam and I played guitars around a fire on the beach where we cooked our mackerel, and the circus was in town. So when the responsibilities of life start to get out of proportion I just stop and think back to a time when it all looked a whole lot simpler. So thanks to Padstow and it's tolerant locals for helping a young man take his first steps away from home.

Karen, Sheffield, South Yorkshire
I can't describe the feeling I get whenever I drive back into Padstow ... it's like my childhood revisited every time. We spent many happy holidays staying at Puffin House - which I believe is either the kitchens or the staff/restroom of Mr Stein's Seafood Restaurant.

Cris in York
