I am without doubt the best embassador in Spain for Cornwall. My parents have ow retired there and I spent my entire childhood going to Cornwall for the summer holidays, it's magic, so quaint, the turquiose sea always hypnotises me. Viva Cornualles!

Justin from winchester
We spent Christmas in Perranporth for a week in december in a beautiful victorian cottage right next to the sea. At night we could hear the waves whilst in bed. I cannot recommend it enough,if not for the great surfing but for the picturesque surroundings.

The pictures of your ocean and beaches are *Beautiful*! The water is so, clear and clean. Un-like our Pacific Ocean on the West Coast of USA. The Ocean here is dark and in some areas green. Your beaches are very inviting. I'm in *Awe*. I'd love to come and visit your *Beautiful* Country. :)

Ah, stunning. I can't wait to return in 2 weeks time. But where's Constantine Bay? My fave, where I've returned every summer since I was there as a lad in 1975. Beautiful, but also look at West Wales, which is like a smaller version.

well what can I say i lived on the north coast of cornwall for 12 years as I was fortunate enough to be adopted, I lived on an absolutely amazing farm that had land stretching to the dramatic coastline. They were truly unforgetable years and when I sit in my office looking at a computer all day I ask myself what am I doing? Cornwall has something really very special about it, probably because its one of the most friendliest places in Britain aswell as obviously being the most beautiful.

Anthony-West Bromwich
I remember my first holiday in penzance, ended up coming home after 2 days as our tent got washed away by floods!!....since then I`ve been back many times with a family of my own,and although I`m still young at forty I have a lifetime of Beautiful memories! From surfing(or at least trying to) on Fistral beach,or in bude..boogy boarding, diving head first into Blue N white surf as the waves crash over my head! to walking thru historical Tintagel village,Tommorow we go to mullion near the Lizard, somewhere new,but no doubt beautiful too. Thank you cornwall and it`s people for giving me and my family a place to relax ,enjoy and have fun! away from the daily grind of normal life.

How I long to return to Cornwall. It has some of the most unspoilt coastline in the country. My sister and I spent some of the happiest times of our childhood in Coverack and the Lizard area.

Crystal from Bristol
Lived in Cornwall for 8 years. Miss the beaches and my relatives!

Jools - Bristol
Standing in Ikea the other day and there's another print of my favourite bay, St Ives. Friends couldn't believe that all the John Miller prints selling (and badly copied !) over the last few years were of 'my' beach, they assumed the beautiful blue sky and white sands were some exotic location Just goes to show - keep your foreign parts to yourself !!!!!!!!!! And to Paul of Manchester, show your wife this website and read the mail, we may sound like nutters but we're nice nutters !!

Stephanie D, Blackpool
I love looing at these picyures it reminds me of happy holidays I have spent in Cornwall munching on a Cornish pasty. The picture of Sennen Beach is beautiful- I luv it. Hope to go this year! Better than goin' aboard, who needs it when you can visit paradise in your own country.

Andy Osborne - Dana Point, Orange County, Southern
These pictures, plus the webcam of Market Jew Street (Penzance) make me very homesick - after moving to Southern California nearly 2 years ago. Can't complain about the scenery/weather here, but as a born and bred Cornishman, it'll be good to get back to the 'old country' for a couple of weeks, and have a pasty or two! "KERNOW BYS VYKKEN!" (Cornwall Forever!)

tracy piper suffolk
we are looking to book a holiday in cornwall this year. we have a 3 year old daughter and are lookin for a beautiful quiet beach, like everyone is. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay.

Julia - Stoke Bishop
Just sent off my holiday deposit for 2 weeks of heaven - you know that feeling don't you! I am such a saddo for Cornwall that I brought a bucket of sand home just so I could run it through my fingers in between visits. It helps a little, but you have to close your eyes!

paul
I have a job to move to from Manchester and my wife is unsure whether to take our child out of school, sell the house and leave the city-can anyone set her mind at rest about selling up and moving to Cornwall?

My first steps were on the beach at Gwithian near the Sheep Dip pool and have walked there with 4 generations of my family over the last 50 years. Did anyone else stand in the Red River till their feet turned pink!! Cornwall is the peace in my heart.

Naomi, Delabole Cornwall
I've just started uni in Chichester so had to move away. Everyone up here says lets go to the beach and I laugh now I've shown them these pictures they understand. God don't I miss home and go back at every oportunity just to see what a great place I was born and bred in.

Why am I living in Bristol????

Jon Phillips
I am entering my 53rd year and in all that time I have only missed two years when I did not visit Cornwall due to working abroad. I have more than made up for it by visiting on average four times a year. My favourite area is around St Agnes and Chapel Porth beach in particular. I remember going down to Cornwall with my grandparents. Now I`m the grandad taking my grandson but I leave the Werthers Originals at home.

Jean from Illogan, Cornwall (ex Batley)
First came to Cornwall on my honeymoon nearly 40 years ago. After 20 years visiting around 3 times a year, and being heartbroken every time we went back over the bridge, we finally made the move 15 years ago. The best decision we ever made. I could never leave - don't know how all those born and bred could ever move away. There's nowhere in the world as beautiful as the Cornish beaches. I never tire of looking at the views on this site.

barbara(Spain)

YER great fun jsut shooting a ball in a net.... but here theres sooo mcuh more things to do, theres an never ending list! I LOVE IT X

Gareth Beale Cornwall/Sweden
Im studying in Sweden for a year, its beautiful but a long long way from a Cornish summer!

Giles, Nancledra
I think that the reason picture 28 looks sooooooo lovely is because it shows more of Peter's Point than it does Gwithian. The sand is of a superior quality, the rock is of a more lustrous texture, the cliffs are higher, the beach is quieter, the waves are better (well, less busy), the grass is greener and the sun shines more on Peter's Point. It's the best place in the world, I think.

Vaclav Smetak, Prague, Czech Republic
Never been to that beautyful seaside, is really so relaxing? Spent holiday in Croatia but so many people there! I would love peace and calm while sleeping nearby shore. Maybe next year. Thanks for great photos.

Alan from Bracknell
There is no where like Kernow I dream of her constantly. Of days spent beach-combing from Gwithian to the Hayle estuary. Those 'endless summers' spent with friends back in the 70's. Never change....

Sam from Chippenham
We have been to Cornwall every year for 15 years, except for last year. we are coming down next week for two fab weeks. Can Not wait.

peter hertfordshire
My girlfriend Linda and i have just returned from Cornwall, she is from New Zealand so should be used to beautiful scenery but our early evening walk along the Bedruthan Steps was one of the most breathtaking experiances we have ever had. All alone with the setting sun , flocking gulls, the musical surf in our ears made this an experiance we shall never forget.

Danny Stacey

Peter Crowle
Born and bred in Cornwall now in Canada nearly 50 years. But no place is like "home". I do wish that I could be there more often, every few years is not enough to satisfy the need of ones desire to return to your roots.

Julia from Bristol
These words from 'Cornish World' help me thru Bristol days!"Isn't it grand to be in Cornwall on such a day? There is no other place to be on such a day as this, you have to be there to experience the 'feel' of it all. It is something very hard to define in words, more like an inner peace that heals the wounds from other days." Sez it all for me!

zowie-miles, london
i go to cornwall ever year and i love it i wouldn't go any were else. why go spian or ibiza when you could go some were like this and not spend as much

John Lowther & Granny Grump, Stockport
Will forward some shots later. For me Kernow (Cornwall) has many pleasant memories holidays staying with family in Sunny Gunnislake, driving all around being a beach fisherman (A poor example granted.) I like nothing more than to sling my hook out from the beach at Seaton Downderry. It was there I was whilst sitting in my car that the horror of 9/11 was being narrated. I was in the midst of so much beauty on a glorious day!

Shirley from surrey
Having spent all his holidays in cornwall when my son died at 15 it was the only place to scatter his ashes where I know he would be truly happy. We go back as many time as we can each year Thanks Cornwall for some of the happiest memories ever

Theres no place like home, especially when you're from Cornwall!

Rich, Southampton
Was sat at work here in Southampton missing Kernow, and found these fantastic pictures of some of my favourite beaches. Like many others have said it's when u live in a city like Southampton that you realise how lucky you are to be Cornish and how different the place and the people really are. Thanks for the photos, they keep me going surrounded by townies and concrete up here.

Peter Russell - Feock Nr Falmouth
Cornwall or Kernow as it is in cornish is the most amazing place in the world. I've lived there for all my life and you cannot get enough of the place. There is always something to do of something going on. I wouldn't move across the border for a million pounds.

Sian Miles - Stratford Upon Avon

Reminds me of my late Boxer dog Poppy, who worked as a PAT dog for the charity Pets as Therapy, having a great time running on the quiet beach at Polly Joke, a few years ago. What a beautiful part of the world and don't I wish we were all there now...

Heaven on earth. I forgot how much I loved Cornwall until recently. Spent last Sunday morning surfing in crystal clear waters at Gwithian. You can take the Cornishman out of Cornwall but you can't take Cornwall out of a Cornishman.

Melissa Brown, camborne
I walk along the beach at gwithian, in the sunset, god blessed cornwall
