I have been going to Cornwall for my Holidays all my life, and the one place that feels like home to me is Coverack. I was Married in Helston and my reception was held at the Paris Hotel Coverack, and all my freind from the village were there. It is a beautiful and peaceful place that should be visited at least once in your life. Yes I will be going back again this year, an hopefully many years to come.

Hi. We came to look at Coverack harbour once six years ago and we have come back every year since! It is beautiful, Nicola & Jeffery at Speckywood campsite have made us so welcome it is like coming home and a great wrench when it comes time to leave. We try to time our visit to coincide with the Ox roast at St Kevern & the swimming regatta in the harbour. The people of Coverack should be given a gold star for hospitality, they are Cornwall personified, the atmosphere is sheer tranquillity, and I do not mind the extra distance, it keeps it special for those who are willing to go the extra mile! Do not change anything!!

i worked at the headland hotel 1977,i the year of the queens jubille. all the houses had been decorated in red ,white and blue,a lovely place and a lovely summer.

I love Cornwall, especially The Lizard, and most especially Coverack. We usually camp on Mr and Mrs Roskilly's farm - wonderfully warm and friendly people, but then aren't all the Cornish. I penned this poem on a visit in 2003 inspired by the idea that the lizard rock may conceal more than we think! The Kernow Lizard by Simon Conner (c) The lizard sleeps on Kernow's lowest edge It's scaly skin breaks rock-like from the earth Countless millenia come and go Reticulated form scarred deep. This gentle place these kindly folk Will they one day wake to flame and smoke Will Kernow's mighty lizard rouse at last To writhe and wreak and break and blast? Or will this giant pass from all ken And dream a serpentine dream of death Of roots, of earth - timelessness Until the last rock is worn to sand And all the oceans possess the land?

Seeing the photograph of Coverack was like seeing an old friend, as I did my National Service up the road at RAF Treleaver and had many a happy time in the Paris and the weekend dances at the Lambege Hall and The Headland Hotel in fact I was confirmed at the parish church in nearby St.Keverne, oh happy days!

Dear Friends, When I read Emma Blair's novel " Wild Strawberries", where Coverack and its beautiful surroundings were vividly described I thought of flying immediately to Cornwall enjoy the nature at its best, and be a guest in Paris Hotel, alas I could not afford such a luxury, but your site has given me an equally good view of Coverack. Thanks. With regards

Thanks for your wonderful website. I am living in Houston Texas, and I still get homesick! I miss my family, and friends. I lived in St.Keverne, and worked in Coverack at Raymond White's grocery and newsagents. Hello to all that remember me! Sharon

Cornwall is so peaceful and relaxing. Its many tumbling green hills and fascinating wildlife showed me what life should really be like. It is a heaven of its own.

We just came back from 3 weeks in your wonderful country. we found my grandmothers birthplace on the old farm, baptism and family church and we still didn't see everything that we wanted to see. What a beautiful land and people. We hope to return someday and visit god's land again.

coverack remains a beautiful peacful unspoilt village with friendly locals and safe beaches. although a long way down Cornwall the journey is well worth it to visit the lovelly lizard peninsular
