Message for Daphne - I think that the cove that you refer to is St Loy Cove. It is the most wonderful little cove and we, like you, found it first whilst staying at Treverven campsite. In early spring the woods above it are filled with snowdrops, later it is daffodils and in the late summer the top pf the cove is covered with wild hops reminding me of the hop gardens of my Hampshire village childhood. There is a cottage just up form the cove that offers the most wonderful teas during the summer months - well worth a visit. St Loy is a real gem.

I think the 91热爆's Cornish website is great. Cornwall is a fantastic place to be, rain or shine. I particularly enjoy walking the coastal path from Polperro to Fowey, where land meets the sea with such dramatic results (where doesn't it in this region?). I remember 2001 when my wife and I did the walk and the fog descended upon us rapidly. We moved off the coastal path and looked for a road. We'd been walking for about 5 minutes and a German couple in a camper van offered us a lift to Fowey. Anyway, we had lunch together in Fowey and it turned out they'd been coming to the South West every year for 25 years. With such beauty and plenty of activities, its a place you never tire of.

Cornwall is home to some of the finest Sher clunk clunks I have ever seen, and I have travelled the world. Something quite romantic about sitting by the sea & tucking into fish & chips looking out at the wonderful coastline in March. We'd never been before & will definately go back. Highly recommend it.

This was our third visit to kennack sands.In the summer the day we left the campsite was the day boscastle got hit,this time we stayed at Sea Acres in a double glazed caravan we needed it the spring tide was spectacular,the beach at kennack was completely washed away by the storm,there was a white algae foam on the beach we love the place so much we will be back next october,love from the flat side!

I did a part of the South West Coastal Path on my last day there, Mousehole to Lamorna. I think it was the best walk I've been on, and that takes some beating. I can't wait to go back there.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about god's country Cornwall.My family and I have been back to St Ives every year for the last 25 years.Firstly for a week and in recent years a week at easter and two weeks in Sept.Even though my children have grown up and left home we still can't get rid of them when we go back,they still follow us.It's like going home when we return and we still don't want to come home after our hol's.To watch John in the Sloop juggle a glass before dropping it,is something special to see. We have spent all of our special occasions down there as well since we had our 25th wedding anniversary down there and had the marriage blessed in the parish church.I spent my 50th down there,our 30th anniversary down there and my brothers 50th there as well.Now we are going back to celebrate my wife's and John in the Sloop's 50th birthdays in Nov.How I wish we could win the lotto and not have to come back, it would be the icing on the cake even though the family would be right behind us.I hope to be returning to my second home for many years to come.Thank you God for giving us CORNWALL.

Hi, Just returned from Cornwall after a weeks holiday. Was in Zennor looking at the area from which my g.g.g.grandmother came. We were in Zennor when that awful flood & mudslide hit Boscastle. We should have been in Boscastle but were too busy looking at the area around Zennor. Hope all persons have been accounted for & things are beging to get back to some what normal in Boscastle. This is my favourite little cove to surf in. When conditions come together in this magnificient setting it's such a joy to surf there. The waves are super fun with un English like hollowness about them. The water is so clean as well, you'll often see a seal or two in the water with you.

The week prior to Whitson w/e 1967. Visited Cornwall with friends stayed at B&B's all of us in our late teens early 20's Had the greatest time having traveled from Alton in Hant's. Mevagissey, the inner and outer harbours, Mackeral fishing and the Gorran Highlanes, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bude what a beautiful county with it's history, diverse scenery and above all the friendliness of the people, it was incredible. 1969 I left for Canada 1994 I married, where does one honeymoon? Why B&B's, Mevagissey, the inner........harbours, Mackeral fishing............incredible! I have revisited 3 more times since then it truly has a magical charm to the area. My heart cries out to the people of Boscastle in their hour of need good luck and may you get through this period of devestation and regain your pride in yourselves and and your locale. God Bless.

I first went to cornwall when I was 16years old to work over the summer season in Newquay, Stayed 3months! Since then I've been going to cornwall each year.. Padstow is one of favorite places as it has a beautiful original feel to it while also being just 12miles from Newquay. I find myself driving on the coastal road between padstow and Newquay dropping into the beautiful beaches to while away the hours.... Heaven.

daphne, not sure if anyone else answered, but the boulder beach you are talking about is called st.loy . You can also now get cream teas down there at one of the houses that sits about 50yrds back from the cove.

I wish to know the name of the little bay with granite boulders right to waters edge, on the Lamorna to Penberth coastal walk. It must be where Picture number 7, has been taken. I knew it so well, but not it's name. I wish to have a photo of it, to remind me of wonderful times when my children were young and walked that path with me when staying at Treverven campsite, which was about half a mile or so, further on, before Treverven and then Treen. Could anyone help, Please?

I used to live in St Just (mid-seventies) and each year a fleet of local fishing boats from Priests Cove would take healthy swimmers round the back of the Brisons (the rocks offshore from Cape Cornwall), from where we would swim in shore. Great fun - cold, and a little scary at times, but fond memories nonetheless, especially the seals. Check out the Brisons' piccy by turning your head 90 degress to the left - what do you see?

My mother was born in Fowey in 1894 and as a young lady worked in Newquay (her maiden name was Rodda). Ever since I can remember she would tell me how beautiful Cornwall was and my aunt would send us a Cornwall calendar every year and my mother would sit down with me and point out all the beauty spots she remembered. When my wife and I finally visited Cornwall in 1998, I felt that I had been there before, then it dawned on me it was because I had seen all this before in the annual calendars for years and years. It is truly a place of great beauty, the people were great and we had a wonderful time. We plan to return next year.

Climbed on so many of the cliffs from Zennor right round to Lamorna and can still feel the sharp granite crystals, wiry lichen on ancient rocks, hot sun beating down, waves providing the security that the Earth will go on.
