Training on Tuesday saw me move into the second stroke seat. Although not choppy the swell was big and this made the row to the Lifeboat Station more difficult than it usually is. We rowed a long stroke but still tried to carry on the idea of 'quick hands' from last week. After a short rest at the Lifeboat Station the crew headed out to the sewer buoy on a racing stroke. After turning this as if it were a mark, we settled into our usual pyramid routine until back in the Cove. I could not attend training on Thursday so instead I went down to the gig shed to use the weights and rowing machine. After the usual six minute warm up on the rower (I did 2000 metres) and then moved onto bench presses, two hand curls and lateral raises. A six minute warm down was then done on the rower. More from Charlie soon. Click on the links below to read his earlier diaries: last updated: 17/07/07 SEE ALSOYou are in: Cornwall > Gig Rowing > Charlie's Diary 7
