On the evening of Wednesday 14 February 2007 one lucky couple would have the chance to wine and dine at the Tresanton Hotel. Set on the Roseland Peninsula, it is one of the West Country's famous hotels, situated at the edge of St Mawes. To be in with a chance of winning the 91Èȱ¬ Cornwall website and Emma Lloyd, 91Èȱ¬ Radio Cornwall's Afternoon Show presenter invited people to nominate someone special in their lives, and to explain why they deserved the special prize.Ìý After much deliberation over all the romantic nominations the 91Èȱ¬ Cornwall 'Love Committee' decided on their winner. And it's many congratulations to Russell and Jenny Collins. The couple were nominated by their daughter Kathryn Cartlidge. In her nomination form Kathryn said: "I'd like to nominate my parents. They've been married for 42 years and hardly ever spent a day apart. Kathryn goes on to mention that after all these years the devoted couple still hold hands like their teenagers and enjoy spending time together. "They often entertain my brother and his family and me," says Kathryn. "They share lovely meals with us, but rarely eat out. I'd love them to have the opportunity to share a romantic meal together."
