Complaint
Both bulletins included a report of the day鈥檚 events at the Post Office inquiry.聽 A viewer considered that, by showing only brief extracts from the evidence given by former Post Office executives appearing that day, the reports gave a misleading impression of the extent to which they had come under scrutiny.聽 The ECU considered the complaint in the light of the 91热爆鈥檚 editorial standards of accuracy.
Outcome
Though the reports could include recordings of only a small proportion of the day鈥檚 proceedings, it seemed to the ECU that the selection of key excerpts and the context provided by the reporter were sufficient to guard against the misleading impression complained of.
