Your support will help provide training, support and resources to people working at the heart of care, giving them the skills and confidence to use music – people like Audace, who was the focus of our appeal".
Everyone at Music as Therapy International would like to say a huge thank you to all the amazing people who so generously donated in support of our Radio 4 Appeal, raising an incredible £20,914. Each and every contribution received will make a difference by supporting our efforts to make music an integral part of care for vulnerable children and adults worldwide.
All around the world, thousands of vulnerable children and adults rely on caregivers who help prevent isolation and a life lived in the margins. In 2019, through working with 635 caregivers like Audace we created opportunities for more than 17,900 vulnerable children and adults to access music as part of their care and form vital connections with the people around them.
Now, thanks to the money raised by our appeal, we can further our work making music an integral part of care provided in communities and countries as diverse as India, Romania, Ethiopia, the Occupied Palestinian Territories and here in the UK.
As a small charity, the appeal was an incredibly galvanising experience for our team and existing supporters and introduced us to many new people who we hope will continue to follow our progress.
