In2scienceUK is immensely grateful and proud to have taken part in the 91热爆 Radio 4 Appeal with our hugely supportive broadcaster Steph McGovern. This year we will be able to help more young people reach their potential in STEM thanks to the fantastic support of Radio 4 listeners”
The in2scienceUK Radio 4 Appeal raised a total of £21,228. These funds will enable us to support more young people most in need gain the opportunities to progress into exciting careers in science, technology, engineering and maths. Although schools, colleges and universities are closed, In2scienceUK will continue to support young people from low income backgrounds reach their potential in STEM. We have been working with our STEM industry and university partners to produce a high quality virtual programme to ensure young people can connect with expert
STEM professionals and access skills days, workshops and technical knowledge. The in2scienceUK Virtual Programme will give young people the individual support they need at this most difficult time. By maintaining face to face contact between STEM professionals and aspiring young people through the In2scienceUK online platform we will continue to provide positive role models and promote greater social mobility in the process.
Thanks to the donations sent by Radio 4 listeners we have been able to continue our work which not only leverages STEM professionals to mentor our young people but also includes a diverse array of bespoke materials, webinars and careers mentoring sessions. All young people will receive the guidance, support and advice they require to gain a strong understanding of STEM careers and learn fantastic new skills in the process. We will be forever grateful to those that have supported our mission to promote greater diversity and inclusion in STEM.
