Family for Every Child would like to thank every one of the Radio 4 listeners who made a donation to our appeal, your generosity is greatly appreciated. You have raised an incredible £20,300. On behalf of all the children and families your support is reaching, thank you!
Our appeal was read by , a writer and broadcaster who personally experienced a childhood in care. He shared the story of Mugisha, a Rwandan child who became homeless and was at risk of violence and trafficking. Thanks to Family for Every Child’s team who run transit centres for street-connected children, Mugisha was safely reunited with his family and was able to return to school. And thanks to your generous support, we are continuing to support thousands of children like Mugisha.
Unfortunately all over the world, COVID-19 has made family separation more likely than ever. We are mobilising in India and other countries in South Asia to provide food and care for children who have lost parents to Covid as well as supporting families to stay together.
