Go Go Energy Smoothies
This smoothie – packed with bananas, pineapple and spinach - is perfect for when you need a boost of energy to start your day.
- 1 large banana, peeled and cut into chunks
- 150g pineapple, fresh or tinned
- 2 tsp hulled hemp seeds, or you could use pumpkin
- 1 large handful baby leaf spinach
- 300ml coconut drinking milk
Before you start, make sure your grown-up knows you’re going to make magic in the kitchen! And do get help when using hot, sharp, or heavy objects while cooking...
SERVES 2
1. Pop your chunks of banana into the freezer for an hour. You can skip this step if you don’t have time, but it makes the smoothie extra creamy.
2. If you are using fresh pineapple, carefully chop into chunks. Be extra careful when using knives or ask an adult.
3. Put the frozen banana from the freezer, the pineapple chunks, hemp seeds, baby spinach and coconut milk into a blender.
4. Blend until completely smooth. Pour into two glasses and enjoy straight away.
