Samba beat hits Munich

Martin MUNiCH - Arriving in Munich we've walked straight into another massive party, the Brazilians and Aussies are in town for their match on Sunday.

As every other first time visitor to the city, Fletch and I made a bee-line for the to try and get something to eat and drink.

This wasn't an original idea - the massive queue outside made us turn our attention to a smaller place across the road called .

Upstairs there was a big screen and we tucked into the best meal of the trip so far, I had roast duck with potato dumplings and apple-flavoured red cabbage - nice!

On the table next to us was a big group of Brazilians and when someone noticed that one of the them had a tambourine they produced a full set of drums from underneath the table and treated us to an impromptu performance.

Check out the video.

We're expecting a lot more of this in the build-up to the game today.

The van's a bit pungent this morning after we both stayed out quite late last night, meeting up with friends who are also in Munich.

We had a few drinks with fellow blogger Paul Atherton and the Match of the Day crew, a thoroughly nice bunch, in a massive beer garden.

Although we didn't get on it, the main attraction in the garden was a 12-foot long table football game - with room fror about six players on each side.

The game did tend to get bogged down in midfield, but it looked great fun.

And watch our video of a German guy with the craziest English accent, Bavaria via Trinidad and Tobago.

Don't forget to for the chance to win some fabulous Sport Relief prizes, including a Pele-signed table football and our very own Shevchenko-signed Fletch and Ricco t-shirts.

A 12 foot long table futbol game and you didn't play!? SHocking.
One of my fav gifts of all time was a classic old school table futbol game....Spurs almost always beat Arsenal in that one and rest assured that England did pretty well also!
Nice video effort gents!

Yeah, Svan's famous!! No mention of us though, bit of a shame - we're just the "some" reduced to writing about it

Glad you are enjoying the blog

I think the german with the west indian accent was taking the piss, he said his name was Marcus Garvey.
Would this be the same Marcus Garvey that was the 1st national hero of Jamaica and a proponent of the Rastafari movement?
