'You people look miserable!'
There's certainly mixed feeling at the moment for the places we call home.
On a positive note, Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council [DVSC] has just announced the winners of its annual competition to find the best places.
They even have a category for the top 'senior citizens' estate and the 2007 award was shared between Llygadog, Corwen, and Gorffwysfa, Prestatyn. The second prize was shared between Buxton Court and War Memorial Court, both in Rhyl.
They gave title of Denbighshire community centre of the year to Neuadd Carrog, near Corwen, followed by Canolfan Cae Cymro, Clawddnewydd, with equal third place shared by Y Ganolfan, Llandrillo, and Eirianfa, Denbigh.
Meanwhile, people have been leaping to the defence of Flint after so-called Visitor from Cardiff posted: "What a dismal place. No wonder the people look miserable and the babies seem to cry a lot. I will not be visiting again."
And Sam supports the idea that Wrexham should become a city: "...because it is such a fast developing place and would bring more money in for the local economy and more visitors to the area."
