Eisteddfod weather

Hello Shwmae?
I hope you a good weekend. Saturday started off wet but thankfully the weather did cheer-up through the day.
On Sunday I took advantage of the sunshine and went for a relaxing walk in the Usk Valley in Monmouthshire. The route took me through land up to which is one of the finest 18th century stone follies in Wales. From here I could see Sugarloaf mountain and Skirrid Fawr in the distance.
The walk took me up to Coed y Bwnydd, an Iron Age hill fort, which is 648 feet above sea level. Come here in Spring and the area is covered in bluebells. Eventually I reached which is a well maintained and quaint church built in the 15th Century.
It's worth a look inside the church where there is a rare late medieval rood screen which is carved from oak. In the churchyard there are two yew trees thought to be about 1,000 years old! The walk ended at the Chainbridge Inn, on the banks of the River Usk, and here I stopped for a Sunday roast which was lovely.
After that, I drove north to Bala for the Eisteddfod and that's where I am going to be based this week forecasting the weather. Tomorrow doesn't look too good with some rain and extensive hill fog. Feeling humid too but it should brighten-up by the evening.
Beyond that, the weather looks much better for Wednesday onwards. Dry with some sunshine and feeling quite warm too. So if you're coming along to the Maes tomorrow bring your waterproofs but it looks like the suncream will come in handy for the rest of the week. Some good news at last!
