Festive fun with Snow Child / Plentyn yr Eira
If you're looking for something to entertain your little ones this month, how about a trip to the theatre that won't involve bellowing 'It's behind you' or 'Oh no, it isn't'?
For their latest production, have teamed up with the Cardiff-based company to bring to life a wintry children's story for under-sevens and their families.
Snow Child / Plentyn yr Eira tells the story of four children - Big Sister, Little One, Snit and Boy - who live in a house by a forest. After playing games, making music and telling stories, the children venture out into the cold and discover a child made out of snow - who magically comes to life.

The production has both English language (Snow Child) and Welsh language (Plentyn yr Eira) performances and was inspired by the children of Kevin Lewis, the Artistic Director of Theatr Iolo and co-creator (with Sarah Argent and Dafydd James) of Snow Child. He commented:
鈥淥ne of the initial starting points for this play was remembering when my two sons were aged 3 and 5. Using sheets, pillows, towels and duvets they would create a winter landscape in their bedroom and, sitting in cardboard boxes surrounded by their furry animals, pretend to ride on sledges and have adventures at the North Pole.鈥
