ÌýBette Midler joined us from New York while Mr Michael Palin kept Christine and Adrian company on the sofa. This is Michael's third visit to The One Show studio, and so we're asking 'Why do we all love Michael Palin'?

Carol Thatcher looked at the history behind the traditional festive poem, 'Twas the night before Christmas'.
